Environmental calculators
The calculation of environmental impacts is facilitated by the design of advanced tools. ESU-services enables you to calculate environmental impacts of specific energy and transport systems with the help of environmental calculators (in German). The following webtools are available:
- Electricity Calculator: Evaluate the environmental impacts of your electricity mix.
- District Heat Calculator: Evaluate the environmental impacts of your district heat system.
- Heat Pump Calculator: Evaluate the environmental impacts of your heat pump system and specify the associated electricity mix.
- Transportation Calculator: Evaluate the environmental impacts of your transportations.
The web-based calculators display the following indicators depending on your input data:
- Primary energy (total, fossil, nuclear, renewable, and waste heat)
- Greenhouse gas emissions (CO2-Equivalents)
- Carbon dioxide, fossil
- Ecopoints 2006 (Method of Ecological Scarcity)
